Locals raise a stink over drainage issue

Kothaguda: Kothaguda locals have been fed up to their teeth due to continuous drainage overflow in their locality for the past three month. The locals allege the department concerned has been neglecting the seriousness of this issue and showing truancy.

A local resident shares, "The sewerage department staff just comes and does temporary work which doesn't even last a week. After intimated multiple times, they come to address the issue.

The situation is getting worse day by day, emitting foul smell, and the area is turning a breeding ground for mosquitoes, posing serious threat to health of people, especially kids and elderly. We request the civic authorities to come up with a solid solution to this and free our agony."
