Local MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy on Sunday launched several development works in the constituency, taken up at a cost of Rs 1.5 crore.

Patancheru: Local MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy on Sunday launched several development works in the constituency, taken up at a cost of Rs 1.5 crore. The works include: CC road in Lakshmi Sai Medows (Rs 12 lakh); underground drainage in Brindavan Colony (Rs 25 lakh); CC roads in HIC Colony (Rs 10 lakh), Akhil Andhra Colony (Rs 7 lakh), NRI Saibaba Colony(Rs 4 lakh), Nandanapuri Colony (Rs 24 lakh), Bank Colony Phase-I (Rs 9 lakh), Bank Colony Phase-II (Rs 8 lakh), Raja Homes (Rs 8 lakh), Madhuranagar (Rs 8 lakh), ICRISAT Colony Phase-II (Rs 15 lakh) and KSR Bhavan Colony (Rs 12 lakh).

Reddy launched CCTV camera surveillance system in Sai Colony, which costs Rs 6.5 lakh. He inaugurated a Ganesh pandal in Rajarajeswari Colony, a badminton court in Ameenpur and a shuttle court in Sai Colony, declared open a park in KSR Colony and released borewell water in UCK Bavi.

Speaking at the inaugural functions, the MLA stated that Ameenpur, the biggest civic body in the country, was being developed as a model municipality. He said he was making efforts to solve the problems facing residents of various colonies.

Reddy also announced that 40 per cent water grid works had been completed. The balance works would be completed shortly and water would be supplied to each house, he added.

Municipal Commissioner Vemana Reddy, TRS mandal president Panduranga Reddy, former MPTC Member Anwarunnisa Begum(Younus), Balraj, K Mallesham, V Kalappa, leaders Narsimha Goud, Y Narsimha Reddy, B Krishna, Upender Reddy, and Md Asif were present.
