Patancheru: The former Ramachandrapuram sarpanch, V Rajeswar Reddy, and Bharatinagar corporator V Sindhu Adarsh Reddy have assured that the State government would extend support to patients of muscular dystrophy.

They were speaking after MLC V Bhupal Reddy handed over Rs.60,000 to a patient M Ravi Kumar of Isnapur village, suffering from muscular dystrophy. They described the ailment as rare and dangerous, which could only be controlled by taking medicine.

The MLC assured that the ailment issue would be taken to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's notice. Among those present were S V Foundation chairman Moturi Narayana Rao, director Abdul Basith, Ramachandrapuram mandal TRS president Parmesh Yadav, Devendrachary, Mohan Reddy, Kumar Goud, Vishnuvardhan Reddy, Jagannadh Reddy, Ward members, the colony association president, TRS leaders and activists.
