Panchayat office turns dump yard

Regode: Regode gram panchayat office has turned into waste dump yard with people disposing of garbage on the premises. The whole surroundings near panchayat office has become untidy.

Villagers and pregnant ladies, children come regularly for vaccination to the village council and health centre located in the panchayat office. The piled up garbage is posing health risks to the visitors and the nearby residents.

In spite of conducting rallies, awareness programmes and Swach Bharat campaigns, there is no change in the situation. Responding on the situation, Panchayat Secretary said "I have asked my staff to keep the area clean. It will be done today."
