Preparations underway to count Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail slips

Hyderabad: District Election Officer & GHMC Commissioner Dana Kishore has said that 5 Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) slips would be counted in each assembly segment of Parliament elections.

He ordered the officials to build counting rooms, as the central election officials are going to visit city on May 16. He said a conference would be held with the central election officials at Hari Hara Kala Bhavan on May 16.

On May 22, the counting staff will be trained and randomised. Assistant returning officers concerned will handle the issues and the situation at the time of counting, the commissioner said.
