The Progressive Democratic Students Union (PDSU) on Tuesday organised a memorial meeting for its founder Jampala Chandrasekha Prasad. Former Vice-Chancellor Prof Ramachandram, ex-principal of Arts College Prof Satyanarayana, and Prof Konda Nageswar were the chief guests.

Osmania University: The Progressive Democratic Students Union (PDSU) on Tuesday organised a memorial meeting for its founder Jampala Chandrasekha Prasad. Former Vice-Chancellor Prof Ramachandram, ex-principal of Arts College Prof Satyanarayana, and Prof Konda Nageswar were the chief guests.

Addressing the students, they stated that the PDSU was following the path laid by the late stalwart George Reddy to pave the way for a strong revolutionary student organisation. Paying tribute to him, they recalled Chandrasekhar's murder during the Emergency, and described him as a martyr who sacrificed life for society.

The chief guests wished that PDSU would work for achieving the aspirations of the martyrs. Among those present were PDSU leaders D Ranjith, K Rakesh, Lenin Raju, Mounika, Guna, Prashanth, Rudrama Devi, Santosh, Chandrakanth, Sharan, Arvind and Pavan.
