MAUD Minister KTR charges the BJP with instigating communal trouble in the country by dividing people in the name of religion

Hyderabad: Attacking the Centre and claiming that it has made false promises to people, Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) Minister KT Rama Rao on Tuesday said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised of Ram Rajya in the country, instead ended up unveiling the horrors of Ravana's rule.

KTR charged the BJP with instigating communal trouble in the country by dividing people in the name of religion. About the Agnipath scheme, he said, "the Union government has hit the aspirations of youth to join the defence forces.

Rao cited a Union minister's statement that the scheme ensures a bright future for youth as it trains them as washermen, drivers, barbers and electricians. He asked whether youth should join the defence forces for these jobs.

The minister recalled how the promise of eradicating black money within 50 days of demonetisation went 'kaput'. The same was the case with the promise of depositing Rs 15 lakh in every bank account.

He asked the gathering, "Did anyone get the promised Rs 15 lakh deposited in their bank account by PM Modi?" KTR asked the gathering.

The minister said the Modi government which supported Gujarat with Rs 1,000 crore did not extend any help when Hyderabad was hit by heavy rain and floods. He quipped "there is no use to bringing all top guns of the BJP, including the Prime Minister and Union minister to Hyderabad in the next few days as the Centre did not support Telangana.
