Protests held against Trump's visit
Opposing US president Trump’s tour to India, leftist organisations IFTU, POW, PYL and PDSU staged protest at RTC crossroads on Monday. Later, protestors were arrested and shifted to Musheerabad police station.

Among those who were arrested including were CPI (ML) New Democracy leaders, K Suryam, K Rama, POW state president Jhansi, IFTU city president SL Padma, state president of PYL Pradeep, PDSU state secretary Bowenpally Ramu, Aruna, Anil, Mahesh, Bheemesh, Roji and others.
Speaking during the protest, K Jhansi expressed concerns over news that India and US would sign trade agreement which may cause severe harm to local poultry, dairy and agriculture. She demanded that the Indian government not sign any agreement that destroys livelihood of labourers and farmers.
