Secunderabad SCR bags 6 awards at garden fest
The categories under which prizes were awarded are
Secunderabad: The South Central Railway (SCR) has been awarded six prizes in competitions of "6th Garden Festival 2020" conducted by Telangana Horticulture department.
For the past six years the festival is being organised to encourage various stakeholders, organisations, institutes and residential colonies situated in the State for the development of green cover across their premises.
As many as 214 entries were received state wide for all the 10 categories of the festival this year. All the six entries made by the Secunderabad division have been awarded six prizes, five bagging the first prizes, said a senior SCR officer.
Gajanan Mallya, SCR General Manager, has specially felicitate Anand Bhatia, DRM, Secunderabad, and other officials for
showing keen interest on improving greenery in the office surroundings. He said this will help in creating pollution-free atmosphere, besides providing fresh air by improving oxygen levels.
"It also helps in reducing carbon footprints and creating environment-friendly atmosphere".
