The Joint Action Committee (JAC) of student organisations comprising AISF, SFI, PDSU, TVV and NIDSO on Friday called for a bandh on 10 July of schools and junior colleges to highlight the problems facing the education sector and several demands.

Himayathnagar: The Joint Action Committee (JAC) of student organisations comprising AISF, SFI, PDSU, TVV and NIDSO on Friday called for a bandh on 10 July of schools and junior colleges to highlight the problems facing the education sector and several demands.

The JAC listed the problems as high fee in corporate educational institutions, creation of basic facilities in government schools, SW hostels and junior colleges, non-filling of teacher posts, giving of postings to TRT candidates, construction of own buildings to Gurukul schools, and opposing closure of government schools.

State AISF secretary Ravi Sivaramakrishna, SFI State secretary Kota Ramesh, PDSU State secretary B Ramu, TVV State president Maddileti, NIDSO State secretary Gangadhar announced the bandh at a press conference in AIYF State office here.
