Residents have said they do not have the access to primary health care centres and other basic facilities. Promises of a clean and slum free Hyderabad have remained as slogans despite the GHMC plans to initiate steps towards making Hyderabad a slum-free city.

Narrow and irregular roads, unsafe buildings and garbage overflow, no space for laying drainage and water supply lines are some of the issues pending for long. The conditions are so dire with no amenities in slums. People living in slums eke out their livelihood by working as labour and taking up other works to make both ends meet.

Many politicians visit these areas during the time of elections for votes and make huge promises to woo the poor people to vote for them. People living in the surroundings are made to believe that they will see changes in near future, but once polls are over, the hapless people are left to fend for themselves, said Venkatesh, a resident of the area.

"It has almost been a decade that we are living in these slums in the same conditions," he adds dejectedly. As the increasing infrastructure in the city but still this slum is uncared. Even after repeated requests made for basic facilities but still it is not been looked after by any co-operators, MLA's.
