Khairatabad: Cartoons, some thought-provoking, political, funny, domestic life and depicting Panchatantra tales, are on display at the Telugu Cartoons Exhibition, organized by the Telangana Cartoonists Welfare Association (TCWA) at ICCR gallery at Kala Bhavan, Ravindra Bharathi. The exhibition started on April 24 and will continue till April 28.

Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali attended the expo as the chief guest. He inaugurated the exhibition by cutting the ribbon and lighted the lamp. The cartoonists came up with depictions of various themes touching upon the socio-political aspects like gender bias and other issues. 144 cartoonists participated in this event and 144 cartoons were displayed at the expo.

A cartoon is a highly sarcastic art form that delivers an issue-based message and also humor some times. But now-a-days, many cartoonist works are not being recognised by the society and to give creativity a recognition, this expo is organised, said by Zakir Hussain, the president of Telangana Cartoonists Welfare Association.
