Hyderabad: Stating that TRS was the only party that has worked for the betterment of people, MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Sunday expressed confidence of winning over 100 seats in the GHMC elections.
MLC Kavitha joined the campaign for TRS party candidate in Hyderabad's Gandhi Nagar and Borabanda on Sunday. Early in the morning, Kavitha Tweeted in Telugu on the occasion of Deeksha Divas. She tweeted with the slogan 'KCR Sachchudo..Telangana Vachudo.' CM KCR started the fast-unto-death to achieve the separate state of Telangana, without caring for his own life. Kavitha further said that CM KCR's fast unto death shook the political leaders in Delhi and appealed to the people of Telangana to come together again, for the progress of Telangana.
Later in the day, along with party leaders and supporters accompanying her she met people and urged them to vote for the party. She also lambasted the BJP for its divisive politics and also questioned the opposition leaders over their inability to bring in funds for flood relief to the people.
Addressing a gathering at Borabanda, Kavitha said political parties trying to play divisive politics would face the people's wrath in the elections. She also added that K Chandrashekar Rao's announcement on property tax and water bill waiver would surely benefit people. She appealed to the voters to come out and vote in large numbers for the TRS party for the development of Hyderabad.
