Local corporator Bobba Navatha Reddy on Thusrday launched vocational training courses under the joint auspices of Skills India (Jana Sikshana Sansthan) and Sankalp Foundation.

Chandanagar: Local corporator Bobba Navatha Reddy on Thusrday launched vocational training courses under the joint auspices of Skills India (Jana Sikshana Sansthan) and Sankalp Foundation.

The courses include tailoring, pre-primary teacher training, preparation of jute bags, Spoken English, fashion design and cooking. Speaking later, Reddy said the courses have a duration of 45 days to 3 months.They would be held for two hours daily. After three months, on successful completion of trainining, certificates would be issues.

The courses, she stated, would enable women to secure employment. Among those present at the inauguration were the colony residents Ramanakumari, Padma, Krishnaveni, Lavanya, Sridevi, Sharada, Devi, Sudha, Kumari, Lakshmi and Srilata.
