Week before marriage, woman ends life in Hyderabad
A 22-year-old woman hanged herself in her house in Hyderabad, a week before her marriage.
A 22-year-old woman hanged herself in her house in Hyderabad, a week before her marriage. She was found hanging from the ceiling fan by a skipping rope.
Mamatha is the daughter of Rallabandi Gnaneshwari, a resident of Lalapet in Secunderabad. Her marriage was fixed with Sandeep on February 13. On Saturday, Gnaneshwari went shopping and when she returned home, the woman found the door locked from inside. After no response from her daughter, she opened the door with the help of neighbours and found Mamatha hanging from the ceiling fan.
The Osmania University police were informed who brought the body down and shifted to a hospital for autopsy. They suspected that Mamatha might have not interested in the marriage which ensued her to end life.
Based on the complaint of Gnaneshwari, the police registered a case and are investigating.
