Commemorating 158th birth anniversary of Vivekananda, TPR Trust presented awards to 38 youths who excelled in various fields, here at Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram on Monday.
Bagh Lingampally: Commemorating 158th birth anniversary of Vivekananda, TPR Trust presented awards to 38 youths who excelled in various fields, here at Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram on Monday.
The trust chairman T Praful Ram Reddy and president K Padmaja Reddy gave away the awards. Head of Sudhagani Foundation Harishankar Goud, head of Lakshmi Gas Agency Ashok Kumar, Dare chairman Sridhar, recipient of National Youth Award Panuganti Mahesh, Shahid and others attended the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Harishankar Goud exhorted youth to follow the principles and values propounded by Swamy Vivekananda. Describing Vivekananda as a great patriot, he said that Vivekanda is a role model for future generations too. Through his Chicago lecture, Vivekananda highlighted the greatness of Hinduism to the world, he said. Harishankar advised youth to tread the path shown by Vivekananda and strive for nation building.
