Hanamkonda: The BJP-led Central government has done nothing for Telangana, Minister for Panchayat Raj Errabelli Dayakar Rao said. Addressing a press conference here on Monday, he criticised the Centre for its failure to provide any help to the State. "Even though the State had sought relief, the Centre didn't give a single rupee to the flood-affected who suffered huge losses," Errabelli said. He said that there was no use with the Centre's welfare schemes. Referring to the TRS' defeat in the recent Dubbaka Assembly by-poll, he accused the BJP of spreading misinformation and thereby taking its advantage. On the other hand, the Centre hasn't released pending dues which amount to nearly one lakh crores to the State despite repeated appeals, he alleged.

He accused the Centre of not conferring national status to the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP). Although several schemes being implemented by the State had received appreciation, there wasn't any monetary help provided to the State. He also criticised the Centre for not providing a minimum support price to the paddy.

"Even though the Centre was not providing funds, the Telangana Government was able to implement several welfare schemes such as Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima etc," Errabelli said. We are against the Centre's farm bills,

he asserted.

Minister for Tribal Welfare Satyavathi Rathod advised the BJP leaders to help for the cause of Telangana instead of relying on spreading false information.

"The Centre should focus on pending national highways projects," she said. Satyavathi also appealed to the Centre to provide a minimum support price to the paddy (fine variety).

MP Pasunuri Dayakar, legislators Nannapuneni Narender, Aroori Ramesh, Pochampally Srinivas Reddy, Kadiyam Srihari, Challa Dharma Reddy and G Venkatram Reddy were among others present.
