Vijayawada: Kathak dance was performed by a team of dancers from Bangalore at Durga Temple atop Indrakeeladri which enthralled the devotees on Sunday. The Mudra and Abhinaya of the Bangalore Kathak dancers Mitha Vinay, Sirish Varala, Maneesha, Akanksha, Kadambari and Sivani had taken the devotees into trance.

They dancers started their Kathak dance with the goddess prayer (Sthuti) "Yakundendu tushara hara dhavalaa yaasubrha vastranvitha." Later Kumari Abhinaya performed Radhakrishna's devotion and love based performance which fascinated the devotees.

Another Kuchipudi performer Latha Majusha danced on Kamakshi Sthuti which captured the devotees' attention. Finally, Natyacharya Sappa Sivakumar team performed Jayamu Jayamu, Lalitha Kalavahini, Marakata Manimaya, and various dance forms which entertained the devotees.

On this occasion, Durga Temple executive officer V Koteswaramma facilitated and offered Prasadam and Seshavastram to the dancers. PRO Balaram monitored the programme.
