Vijayawada: Trial run on Benz Circle flyover to begin today
Traffic problems at the Benz Circle in the city will be resolved soon as the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is gearing up to inaugurate the flyover.
Vijayawada: Traffic problems at the Benz Circle in the city will be resolved soon as the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is gearing up to inaugurate the flyover.
As the flyover service road near Jyothy Mahal Junction completed on the war footing basis in the last two months, trial run will be conducted on Monday in the presence of District Collector Md Imtiaz, NHAI Project Director M Vidya Sagar, Commissioner of Police Dwaraka Tirumala Rao and Deputy Commissioner of Police Nagaraju.
The vehicles passing from Ramavarappadu towards Varadhi will be allowed to pass on the flyover. The long-pending demand and dream of the denizens of Vijayawada will be fulfilled with the inauguration of flyover. Speaking to The Hans India, Project Director M Vidya Sagar said initially the trial run will be made on Monday and later a decision will be taken after discussing with the city traffic police on continuation of plying of vehicles.
Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari is likely visit the city to inaugurate the flyover. Vijayawada MP Kesineni Nani has vigorously lobbied for sanction of funds for construction of flyover.
