As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) - Visakh Refinery decided to plant 900 saplings, commemorating 75 years (900 months) of independence of India.

Visakhapatnam: As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) - Visakh Refinery decided to plant 900 saplings, commemorating 75 years (900 months) of independence of India. Launching the first phase of the programme here on Thursday, HPCL executive director V Ratan Raj said 900 varieties of saplings will be planted across the premises of the organisation to mark the occasion. Further, he said the initiative aimed at conserving ecological balance of the environment.

HPCL VR ED VRMP Veerabhadra Rao, general manager (HR) K Nagesh, Employees' union leaders MM Naidu, various department heads and others took part in the green initiative.
