A 40-year-old Ayyappa devotee from Andhra Pradesh died of a heart attack on his way to Sabarimala temple on Wednesday.

Sabarimala: A 40-year-old Ayyappa devotee from Andhra Pradesh died of a heart attack on his way to Sabarimala temple on Wednesday. The Sabarimala police confirmed him as Kameshwar Rao, who was a part of 28 devotees group from Andhra.

Rao felt uneasy while trekking at Neelimala and died on the spot. Similarly, on Tuesday another Ayyappa devotee from Tamil Nadu also passed away due to heart attack at Sabarimala.

On the other side, the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) also trashed the news that a lizard was found in "Aravana" prasadam of the forest shrine. The report was fake and baseless said in a press release. Over 1,400 persons have trekked the traditional Kannana route since the temple opened on November 16 evening.
