New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday participated in the inauguration of the third global renewable energy investment meeting and expo (re-investment) through video conferencing. During this, PM Modi said that today India is the fourth largest country in the world in terms of renewable energy capacity. India is moving fast in all major countries.

PM Modi said that currently, India's renewable energy capacity is 136 GW, which is about 36 percent of our total capacity. PM Modi said that India is expanding the renewable energy generation capacity, network to provide electricity to the homes of every citizen.

The Prime Minister said that since 2017 our annual renewable energy capacity has exceeded coal-based thermal power. In the last six years, we have increased the installed renewable energy capacity by two and a half times.
