J & K: Militant Killed In Encounter With Security Forces
A militant was killed in an encounter with security forces in Shopian of Jammu and Kashmir.
A militant was killed in an encounter with security forces in Shopian of Jammu and Kashmir. The security forces launched an operation against terrorists following a tip-off about the movement of terrorists in the area.
In the ensuing gunfight one militant was killed. Reports stated that the security forces were continuing the operation as the encounter was ongoing. The militant's identity was yet to be ascertained, according to official sources.
Security forces launched an intensive combing operation in Reban area of the south Kashmir district on Monday morning after getting a tip-off about the presence of militants in the area, reports said. The terrorists are reported to have fired at the security forces who responded by moving ahead with the encounter.
