Withdraw support to Bill: Dronamraju tells BJP, Telangana Bill. Dividing the State on regional lines, he said, was not acceptable to the Telugu people.

Hyderabad: Strongly opposing the draft T Bill, Government Whip Dronamraju Srinivas on Wednesday appealed to the BJP to withdraw its support to the Bill and stall the State bifurcation in Parliament respecting the sentiments and aspirations of Seemandhra people.

Taking part in the debate on the draft T Bill in the Assembly, he said State bifurcation was against the Constitution and asked the Centre as to why it had ignored the Srikrishna Committee recommendation not to divide the State.

Demanding the Union Government to respond to the united AP movement launched by the Seemandhra people, he alleged that the Telangana movement was an artificial struggle launched by some vested interests for political gains.

Dividing the State on regional lines, he said, was not acceptable to the Telugu people.

He added that the creation of Andhra Pradesh was a result of sacrifices made by several people from both the regions. All the milestones achieved in different sectors were possible in united Andhra Pradesh only. He appreciated the stand adopted by the Chief Minister and the way he was fighting to keep the State united.
