Help promote greenery: Minister

Water Resources Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao along with children planted saplings at Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation Stadium in the city on Wednesday as part of the Vana Mahotsav programme.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said children should be encouraged to take up planting of saplings to promote greenery in the State in a big way.

Vijayawada Central MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) Chairman PR Mohan and members of the Morning Walkers Association participated in the plantation programme.
