Awareness meet on Income Declaration Scheme for doctors

An awareness meet on the Income Declaration Scheme, 2016 was held for doctors at the Indian Medical Association Hall in the city on Wednesday. B Srinivas, Additional Commissioner of Income Tax, Vijayawada, who attended the meet as a chief guest, explained the provisions of the scheme and urged doctors to avail themselves of the one-time opportunity to declare their undisclosed income in the form of assets and cash.

The last date for declaration of the undisclosed income under the scheme which provides immunity from scrutiny and penalty is September 30, he said. A presentation on the scheme was made by income tax officer N Nagabhushanam. IMA Vijayawada unit president PMC Naidu, secretary Ravindranath, Chartered Accountant Penugonda Subbarayudu and others attended the awareness meet.
