Drusyavedika, a new cultural audience club, organised a unique music and dance programme on Thursday evening at Gayatri conventional hall in the city. The programme was designed in two parts. In the first part of the programme, the artistes exhibit their individual talent in Carnatic and Hindustani music styles and also Bharatanatyam and Kathak dance forms. In the second part of the programme the jugalbandi(battle of the styles) between Carnatic and Hindustani music with Bharatanatyam and Kathak.
The first part of the programme commenced with a Debra Mururavali prayer. Later Ragam-Tanam-Pallvi in Suddhasaveri ragam was excellently performed by Hemadri Chandrakat on violin. This was ably supported by B Suresh on mridangam.
