International Women’s day held at Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala
Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala (SMK) women’s cell and the college library department jointly organised International Women’s Day at the college seminar hall on Wednesday. The event was presided by the college principal Dr T Vijaya Lakshmi.

Speaking on the occasion she said women would participate in all fields and fight for their rights. She felt nothing is impossible for the women if the latter determines and works with dedication. The chief guest of the programme Rama Devi said that women needs empowerment and women started fighting for their rights long back.
International Women’s day is marked in connection to the rebellion by Russian women against oppression. But still there are many lapses for the security of women and girls in the country. The programme was attended by all the lecturers, students and the staff.
