He participated as chief guest in a workshop on Engineering Tech Fest held at JNTU Kakinada with all the principals of affiliated colleges of JNTU. 


State Government is making efforts to increase the innovative power of the students said State Technical Education Commissioner K Panda Das in Kakinada on Monday. He participated as chief guest in a workshop on Engineering Tech Fest held at JNTU Kakinada with all the principals of affiliated colleges of JNTU.

Speaking on the occasion Panda Das said that they are organising the Engineering Tech Fest-2017 under the guidelines of the Chief Minister. He also said that this Engineering Tech Fest acts as a catalyst in developing organizing skills, soft skills, event management skills, critical thinking in meritorious students. He further said that all the college managements should provide opportunities to the students and motivate them to come out of the traditional mode and adopt new modern techniques and inculcate competitive spirit. Panda Das also informed that Engineering Fest -2017 will be held from December 14 to 16 at Visakhapatnam. He also said that Government is going to support the programme with reasonable funding.

JNTU Vice-Chancellor Prof VSS Kumar urged all the principals to focus on the projects that are connected with the ecosystem and new technologies which would benefit the society.VC urged the students to deny readymade projects and focus on creative and original projects with the help of Skill
Development Programmes, Online Journals and Incubation Centers.DAP CH Satyanarayana organised the programme. JNTU Registrar Subba Rao, Rector Purnanandam and Directors, Programme Directors, HoD’s, Principals from affiliated colleges were present for the programme.
