Kakinada: CPI district secretary Tatipaka Madhu, informed that their party state leaders will be coming to visit the Polavaram project site on December 16.

Addressing a press conference at the CPI district office here on Wednesday, he said that the CPI had been conducting several movements for the Polavaram since the beginning. He remembered that their party had conducted a 30-hour dharna in Vijayawada for the rehabilitation of the displaced people as part of the construction of the dam.

He further informed that they were going to conduct a public meeting at Polavaram with all the displaced people. Madhu alleged that the land and mining mafia's misdeeds did not stop and charged the government officials with ignoring the mafia even though they were aware of it.

The CPI leader accused the TDP leaders of playing key role in these illegal activities. He also said that the beach works should be completed without any misappropriation of funds.

Madhu informed that CPI state secretary Rama Krishna and other prominent leaders would visit the Polavaram dam.CPI district executive members Nakka Kishore, Juttuka Kumar, M Nagamani and others were seen at the press meet.
