Guntur: Minister for Sports Kollu Ravindra and Minister for Civil Supplies Prattipati Pulla Rao said that sports will bring out hidden talent in the students.
They inaugurated state-level volleyball competitions held under the joint aegis of Dhulipala Veeraiah Chowdary Economic and Education Trust, SAAP and district volleyball association at Dhulipala Veeraiah Chowdary Memorial Stadium in Ponnur on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Ministers said that talented students should be encouraged to pursue sports seriously.
Kollu Ravindra said that state government was encouraging sports and developing stadia besides setting up Sports Academies. He urged the players to avail the opportunities provided by the government.
MLA Dhulipala Narendra Kumar, MLC AS Rama Krishna, Mangalagiri municipal chairman Ganji Chiranjeevi, former MLA Gogineni Uma, former ZP chairman Pathuri Nagabushanam were among those participated.
