Eminent dance teacher and Natraj Nrutya Niketan founder Dr Sappa Durga Prasad revived the temple dance two decades ago.

He participated in the second day of Temple Dance Festival at Sri Venkateswara Anam Kala Kendram here on Sunday.

The Temple Dance performance of the students reflected the idea of Dr Sappa Durga Prasad who underlined the need to spread it on a massive scale and assured to extend his help in this regard. He stressed the need to tap the hidden talent of the students relating to dance.

Rajamahendravaram is the cultural capital of the state and every day many programmes are being conducted to enthral the audience.

He said the government is keen to encourage cultural activities in the state, hence, it is conducting many programmes.
