Yuva Mahotsav begins at QIS
The Yuva Mahotsav being organised by the department of youth services in the state as part of Swami Vivekananda birthday on January 12, started colourfully at QIS Engineering Colleges in Vengamukkapalem in Ongole on Friday.

The principal of QIS College of Engineering and Technology, Dr Kilari Veeraswamy said that STEP CEO Dr B Ravi, Indian Redcross Society Chairman for Prakasam district Dr Raghava and STEP manager G Satyanarayana inaugurated the mahotsav as chief guests.
The QIS Institute of Technology principal, Dr CV Subbarao and principal of QIS College of Pharmacy, Dr D Dakshinamurthy said that the boys and girls from the QIS colleges in the campus participated in various categories like volleyball, basketball, throw ball, back walk, musical chairs, fancy dress, fashion show, quiz and elocution.
The college secretary and correspondent, Nidamanuri Kalyan Chakravarthy said that the prizes would be distributed to the winners in the closing ceremony on Saturday. The college chairman Nidamanuri Nageswara Rao said that the competitions being conducted would definitely inspire the youth and encourage them follow Swami Vivekananda’s words.
