Kakinada: District Collector Kartikeya Mishra informed that some additional rooms would be constructed in the current Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) storage godown.

Mishra inspected the EVM storage godown near Collectorate on late Tuesday and said that the additional rooms would be constructed in accordance with the norms of the Election Commission of India (ECI), and an amount of Rs 90 lakh was sanctioned for the same. Mishra ordered the APEWDC Deputy Executive Engineer to take measures to construct the additional rooms according to the norms of the ECI.

“The additional rooms would be used to store the EVMs and other election material,” said the Collector. DRO Nageswara Rao, RDO Raghu Babu, Tehsildar Subrahmanyam and others accompanied the Collector.
