Vijayawada: The Vagdevi Kuchipudi Nrityalaya and S Fine Arts jointly organised a dance feature titled “Moksham” at Veledandla Hanumantharaya Grandhalayam Hall here recently.
As per Hindu mythology, any person who was killed by God will surely attain ‘moksham’.
The Bhagavaram tells the same thing and the demons like Ravana, Kumbhakarna, Kamsa, Sishupala, Hiranyaksyapa and Hiranyaksha were killed by Srimaha Vishnu in his different ‘avatarams’.
The dance feature was based on Sri Krishna Leelalu like Pootana Vadha, Kamsa Vadha were portrayed excellently by Bengaluru-based troupe of Sravan Ullal, Kiran Ullal and Sravan. This was composed in Yakshagana format.
The disciples of dance teacher Sappa Sivakumar performed traditional classical dances and made the audience engaged. The organisers honored the artistes with mementos.
