Maoist leader RK's mother passes away

Hyderabad: Top Maoist leader Ramakrishna (RK) alias Akkiraju Haragopal's mother Rajyalakshmi (79) passed away at her residence in Rajendranagar on Wednesday morning. She was hospitalised following age-related ailments and anxiety over RK's ill health a few days ago, as reported in a section of the media. She was in coma from the past three days and passed away at her residence of Wednesday morning. Revolutionary Writers Association (VIRASAM) leader Varavara Rao, members of the AP Maoist Relatives' Association and many others paid tributes to her. President of the Association Padma and other Left parties leaders attended her last rites at Kisanpura in the evening.
