Telangana JAC (TJAC) chairman Prof. Kodandaram flayed the State government for using police forces to scuttle the 'Chalo Assembly' protest held recently. The tactics employed by Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy to suppress the people's voice goes to show that the State was under police rule, he felt. Kodandaram was speaking at 'Maha Nirasana' programme organised by Telangana Electricity Employees JAC at Vidyut Soudha to condemn the police high-handedness and illegal arrests during the Chalo Assembly programme.
Meanwhile, Kodandaram alleged that Kiran Kumar's government was giving step motherly treatment to elected representatives from Telangana region."A legislator has the right to visit any government office to speak to concerned officials. However, this government does not allow legislators to follow such rules.
The most annoying thing is that legislators are being arrested by the police when they turn up at government offices," he fumed. TRS MLAs Harish Rao, K Tarakarama Rao, BJP legislator Nagam Janardhan Reddy and others attended the programme and expressed solidarity with employees.
