TRS MLA assails Congress' dithering over separate State issueA

Hyderabad: "Gulamgiri Chodo-Gulabi BanoBolo Jai TelanganaMilke ladengeTelangana Haasil Karenge," this is the new message from TRS for Congressmen of the region. True Telanganites in the so-called national party should immediately tender resignations in the wake of Congress spokesman PC Chacko's irresponsible statement on Telangana, demanded Harish Rao while addressing a press conference here on Sunday.

If Telangana was not in UPA agenda then why did Congress tie up with TRS (having separate statehood as its only agenda) in 2004, questioned the Siddipet MLA. What is the need to carry a Congress flag when Telangana itself is not in UPA's agenda, Harish asked the Congress leaders and activists.

Welcoming the deadline set by three MPs-G Vivek, Sircilla Rajaiah and Manda Jagannadham, Harish Rao advised them to take a final call in view of the party's negligent attitude. Five Telangana MPs undertook a two-day fast recently in parliament, but the high command ignored it completely, reminded Harish.

Hold PV birth anniversary officially Harish Rao accused State government of showing discrimination towards departed top politicians of Telangana namely P V Narasimha Rao, T Anjaiah or even Marri Channa Reddy. "Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy, who violated Gentlemen's Agreement, gets state honour every year on his birth anniversary. However, former Prime Minister P V Nara- simha Rao, is sidelined only because he hailed from Telangana. When NTR's statue can adorn the central hall of parliament, why a deserved leader like PV was deprived of the same status," Harish asked.

Rules out pre-poll alliance

Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has no qualms about post-poll alliance with NDA, UPA or even Third Front, according to Siddipet Legislator T Harish Rao. ''Our party will support any alliance that comes forward to concede Telangana after 2014 general elections'', he added. Harish was addressing the activists and leaders of Uppal Constituency who assembled at a private function hall in Mallapur for the party training programme. He ruled out any pre-poll alliance with Congress-led UPA or BJP-led NDA alliances.

"One cannot predict which alliance will secure power at the Centre due to prevailing political uncertainty. In this backdrop, joining hands with a single alliance much before the elections will limit the options of the TRS party," Harish felt.

CM selling Hyderabad lands for Chittoor Meanwhile, the TRS legislator alleged Chief Minister of selling lands in Hyderabad for the proposed National Investment and Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ) Park to be set up in Chittoor district.A Kiran declined to release funds for a drinking water project in Hyderabad, and instead gave an advice to go for bank loan, he informed.

"However, for land acquisition purposes for the NIMZ park in Chittoor, the same Chief Minister is trying to sell 202 acres of premium government lands in Rayadurg and Khanamet. Kiran Kumar Reddy is hoping to garner Rs 2,000 crore that would be utilised for land acquisition of 20,000 acres for NIMZ Park," Harish pointed out.
