A The emergence of youth power in Telugu Desam was evident on Monday. While many a political heir was seen taking an active part in the two-day TDP Mahanadu which began at Gandipet on Monday, it was Nara Lokesh, son of TDP president Chandrababu Naidu, who turned out to be the cynosure of all eyes.
The 32-year-old Lokesh 'stole the show' from the morning at the bustling venue where the party leaders and workers were seen queuing up to greet him. Party leaders said that Lokesh had filled the gap that had arisen following the absence of Jr NTR who was the main attraction at the last Mahanadu.
Lokesh was an early bird at the venue. He arrived an hour before the meeting kick-started and was seen sitting along with the Ramamohan Naidu, (son of K Yerran Naidu), Virendar Goud, (son of T Devender Goud) and P Sriram (son of Paritala Sunita). Several senior leaders rushed to him and greeted him.
Soon after Naidu concluded his address and the meeting adjourned for lunch break, he was once again mobbed by leaders and party workers on his way to the dining hall. Lokesh stopped to acknowledge their greetings and spent some time with them.
Nandamuri duo enthuse crowdsA
Hyderabad: The presence of Nandamuri duo both Harikrishna and Balakrishna-together on the dais had an electrifying effect on the crowds, especially their fans and loyalists at the inaugural session of Mahanadu on Monday. While entering the venue, the Faithfull's of Harikrishna appeared disappointed as his pictures were missing on the yellow flexies of the party that dominated the vantage points at Gandipet.
There was not even a single cutout or poster of even Junior NTR. But much to their surprise, Harikrihsna accompanied by his followers reached the venue well on time and joined the TDP chief, N Chandrababu Naidu in paying homage to the founder president of the party N T Rama Rao. Hari Krishna, however did not take part in any sort of deliberations for a major part of the day. His brother Balakrishna also was present on the occasion. He walked down to the enclosures reaching out to the party workers and waving at them with full enthusiasm.
