Jagan using jail as party office

jagan2Hyderabad: The Telugu Desam Party on Wednesday shot off a letter to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy demanding him to order an ACB and Vigilance and Enforcement inquiry into the alleged irregularities and misuse of power by Chahchalguda jail authorities in arranging mulaqats and special privileges to YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

Party politburo member Y Ramakrishnudu alleged that the jail authorities promoted the jail as the 'YSR party office.' With the help of jail officials, Jagan is strategising and is conspiring to encourage defections in other parties. Pointing out that Finance Minister A Ramanarayana Reddy and government chief whip G Venkataramana Reddy also corroborated the TDP's stand on the utter misuse of the authority by jail Superintendent and other staff, he said that he also brought the issue to the notice of top police officials but no action has been taken so far. "Ever since Jagan's arrest, there have been hundreds of mulakats and interviews not only with kith and kin but also with political leaders of all political parties," he added.

The TDP leader said that if the government failed to order an inquiry into the matter, it will be construed that the government had colluded with Jagan and is extending all support to him in carrying out his political activities from the jail.
