YSR Congress Party spokesperson G Srikanth Reddy on Monday alleged that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu were covertly cooperating with Congress president Sonia Gandhi in facilitating smooth bifurcation of the State.
Addressing media persons, Reddy said that both Congress and TDP leaders were making baseless allegations against party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy out of frustration unable to withstand the success of Samaikya Sankharavam meeting.
In order to prove their pro-united Andhra stand, YSRCP leader demanded that the Chief Minister convene Assembly on the AP Formation Day on November 1 to adopt a resolution against bifurcation and that Naidu withdraw his letter supporting bifurcation of the State given to Centre. Asserting that Jagan was the only leader who stood his ground for keeping the State united from the very beginning, Reddy said APNGOs and others played their role well in the Samaikyandhra agitation after the July 30 decision of the CWC. “However, Kiran and Naidu failed to reflect the aspirations of the Seemandhra people and are only enacting dramas to hoodwink them,” he alleged.
Reacting to the allegations of Congress MP L Rajagopal and former minister JC Diwakar Reddy, he said they were making false allegations and throwing mud on Jagan only to secure their political future.
