MIM to Take Part in All-Party Meet, All India Majlis-e- Ittehadul Muslimeen, Bifurcation of State. The All India Majlis-e- Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), which has softened its stand on the bifurcation of State after the Congress endorsed the formation of Telangana, would attend the all-party meeting on Telangana in November second week in New Delhi.

Party sources informed that its president and MP Asaduddin Owaisi would represent the party in the meeting where he would present the demands for the development and protection of minorities in the two separate States. He would further seek the Centre to bring in special laws and a strong policy to counter communal forces in both the States.
The party would also put a proposal before the Union government urging it to consider Urdu, along with Telugu, be made the first language in Telangana State and its status as second language should be continued in Andhra also. Besides, the party president would also urge the Centre to spend the Hyderabad resources for the development of the city only.
