Karimnagar: BJP state president G Kishan Reddy flayed the Congress leadership for delaying the state bifurcation process. He demanded that the bill for separate Telangana state be introduced in the winter session of Parliament and the process be speeded up.
Mr Kishan Reddy was the chief guest at the `Telangana Poru Jatara’ meeting organised by the party in Karimnagar on Thursday. He said more than 1,000 persons lost their lives for the cause of separate Telangana in the agitations and Congress has to take responsibility for the deaths.
He ridiculed the Telangana Congress leaders for organising `Vijayotsu’ meetings in the region to praise UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi.
All the major leaders both at the Centre and in the State would lose in the forthcoming general elections due to the wave in support of BJP across the country, Mr Kishan Reddy hoped. He also predicted that BJP would come to power at the Centre after the general elections and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi would become prime minister. All the regional parties would lose in the polls due to BJP wave, he predicted.
The BJP leader, referring to the issue of Bhadrachalam revenue division, said that the division belongs to Telangana region and there is no second opinion to the party in this regard. Senior Congress leader Vijayender Reddy, along with his followers, joined BJP at the meeting.
BJP national secretary Muralidhar Rao, former Union minister Ch Vidyasagar Rao, Janga Reddy and others were present.
