Speaker Should Not Act As A Party Man: Naidu. Coming down heavily on Jagan, Chandrababu questioned CBI’s permission to him to travel to Kolkata where most of his illegitimate wealth was kept.

Hyderabad: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday has cautioned the Speaker of the Assembly not to act as a member of ruling party.
Speaking to media here, Naidu said “his (Speaker’s) decisions were very crucial at this moment. He should act in an impartial way and not to play to the tunes of Congress party”
Naidu, who trained his guns on Congress, responded on the controversy that has put the position of the Speaker in an awkward situation. “The Speaker and the Governor are constitutional posts.
They should be accountable to people and not to individuals or political parties. Why should a State governor meet Digvijay Singh - who was a party functionary- recently in New Delhi? The constitutional authorities have specific responsibilities and they should not deviate from them. Unfortunately, our constitutional authorities have been acting on the contrary” he lambasted.
“Congress party has not been handling the issue of bifurcation constitutionally rather made it controversial. It has misused constitutional authorities. Never before the nation has witnessed this kind of brazen misuse” he castigated.
Coming down heavily on Jagan, Chandrababu questioned CBI’s permission to him to travel to Kolkata where most of his illegitimate wealth was kept.
“Jagan’s suit-case companies have all been in West Bengal and he went there to influence the witnesses” Naidu alleged.
On Jagan’s decision to start his yatra from Kuppam, which has been Chandrababu’s constituency- the TDP chief said- “the people of Kuppam were honest and non-corrupt. I fear Jagan’s tour may make them perfidious” he remarked.
