Hyderabad: With clear indications that the draft T Bill would be sent to the State Assembly soon, the Seemandhra Congress leaders are groping in darkness on how to counter the moves of the Centre.

According to MLA Malladi Vishnu, the Seemandhra MLAs were examining the possibility of moving a resolution in the State Assembly seeking that the State should remain united. The Seemandhra MLAs feel that they should ask the Chief Minister to move the resolution soon after the Assembly meets to discuss the draft T Bill.

However, this may not be an easy task as any such decision will have to be taken at the Business Advisory Committee meeting which would be convened by the Speaker once he receives the communication from the President of India.

The Business Advisory Committee consists of political parties like the Congress, TDP, TRS, CPI, CPM, BJP, YSRCP, MIM and Lok Satta. The Chief Whip and the Deputy Speaker will also be part of the meeting. Majority of them may not agree for moving such a resolution.

Secondly, the resolution if moved by the Chief Minister should have the approval of the cabinet if it were to be an official one. Under the circumstances, it is not possible to get the cabinet nod. Moreover the Speaker N Manohar himself may not agree for any deviation from the single point agenda of discussing the draft T Bill.
