Hyderabad: The meeting of Samaikya Rashtra Parirakshana Vedika (SRPV) of APNGOs, which was supposed to be held in Guntur on December 7, has been shifted to Hyderabad and rescheduled to December 9.

This was informed by APNGOs president P Ashok Babu while speaking to media persons in Hyderabad. After meeting various political parties including Congress, TDP, CPI, CPM and BJP, on Wednesday, the leaders of Association would be meeting MIM, YSRCP and Loksatta, he said. Apart from meeting the State’s political leaders, the APNGOs would also visit New Delhi shortly for another spell of talks with national leaders, he further said.

According to Ashok Babu, the political parties were showing keen interest in solving the problem and agreed to become part of the all-party meet planned to be conducted on December 5 or 6. “As most of the political parties responded in affirmative for the idea of all-party meet, we will be organising it shortly”, said the leader.

Answering to a question as to why an apolitical organisation like APNGOs was trying to win confidence of the political parties, the Association president pointed out that the T-Bill could come to the Assembly any moment and this was the only way the bifurcation process could be stopped.

He pointed out that not only the general public even Telangana leaders were feeling the heat, as to what will be the end result.

A delegation led by Ashok Babu will be meeting Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Wednesday to discuss the employees’ related issues like IRA. The Association will also be holding elections in January 5 and the nomination process will be taken up on December 22.
