T Cong Mantris Write to GoM, Opposition to the Proposal of Rayala Telangana. Minister for Civil Supplies D Sridhar Babu said that people of Telangana have been waiting only for Telangana with 10 districts and would not accept anything short of it.
Hyderabad: Stung by the strong opposition from all political parties and their move to resort to agitation in the Telangana, the T Ministers, led by K Jana Reddy on Wednesday, shot off a letter to the GoM expressing their strong opposition to the proposal of Rayala Telangana.
Addressing the media, along with Ministers P Sudarshan Reddy, D Sridhar Babu and Sunita Laxma Reddy in Secretariat, Jana Reddy said that the people of Telangana do not want anything other than Telangana with 10 districts with Hyderabad as capital. He said that people were hurt and upset and were in an agitating mood after the news of Rayala Telangana came out.
He said that CWC had already announced its decision on Telangana with 10 districts and GoM and the UPA government has to honour it. “Lakhs of people attended to the meetings organised by Congress leaders in Telangana and hailed the move of CWC decision,” he reminded, adding that any deviation on it would hurt the feelings of the people.
