The DGP said a decision on pay hike of home guards was pending with the Finance department. It would be announced soon. He said the case relating to SI recruitment (written test) was pending with the AP High Court. They would be announced after the judgment. Rao said residents of Nalgonda were peace-loving and friendly. The DGP was felicitated by the Nalgonda Peace Committee and Dalit leaders on his first visit to the town after assuming office. T Prabhakara Rao, SP, IGP KVRN Reddy and DIG e Naveen Chand were present.
