TJAC team calls on BJP leaders

Hyderabad: As part of its efforts to achieve unity among Telangana MLAs ahead of important discussion on T draft Bill in Assembly, Telangana JAC met BJP leaders on Friday.

JAC’s Chairman Prof Kodandaram, BJP state secretary Kishan Reddy, BJP leaders Nagam Janardhan Reddy and Bandaru Dattatreya felt the need to expedite the process of eliciting views of the State legislature now that president forwarded the Bill to the Assembly. TJAC urged the BJP MLAs to mount pressure on the house in this regard.

Meanwhile, Kodandaram asked BJP leaders to accompany TJAC during its New Delhi tour in the coming weeks which was accepted by saffron party chief G Kishan Reddy.

The comments of BJP president Rajnath Singh at a press conference in New Delhi on Friday also came up for discussion in the meeting. BJP state leaders told the JAC delegation that some newspersons put words in the mouth of Rajnath Singh and highlighted them as his views.
