The decision on the discussion of the bifurcation bill will be taken on Monday after the BAC meet. There has been an undeclared competition between the Telangana and Seemandhra Leaders on this issue.
While the Seemandhra leaders want to delay the discussion as much as possible, the Telangana leaders want the bill to be discussed immediately, in the state assembly.
The former PCC chief, D. Sreenivasa Rao has been leading the T Congress leaders. The Seemandhra leaders are moving their pawns to get additional 20days time by dragging the issues, deliberately.
After two days gap, on Monday, the state assembly will be convened. Leaders from different regions have different opinions and may turn the assembly a hot junction. As the bill has been sent by the president of India, the speaker of the state assembly is bound to disclose the issue in the assembly session, officially.
After his official disclosure, the actual issue will begin. It is likely that the speaker may call for a BAC meet to discuss the issue. The decision is left with the speaker whether to adjourn the assembly and call on a BAC meet or call for a BAC meet after circulating the bill in the assembly on Monday.
As leaders from both the regions have difference in opinions, it is likely that the BAC meet will turn livid. However, the speaker may arrive at an opinion considering many issues at his discern. As the president has given time upto January, 23, the bill may be discussed during this session of assembly only.
This issue is a more prominent issue than any other issues as far as the state politics are concerned. So, it is likely that the bill will be discussed on priority, in the assembly. In general, the opinion of the chief minister plays a vital role in such matters. All prominent leaders will attend the assembly session on Monday and hence the issue may become very interesting.
The Seemandhra leaders along with the chief minister are of the opinion that as the time sought is more than a month, they would like to drag the issue as much as possible so that they can have advantage over the issue. But, from the other end the Telangana leaders have been demanding for the continuation of the present session of assembly to discuss the matter without having any interruption.
Even the PCC Chief, Botsa has the same opinion and spoke to the Chief Minister on the issue. On Sunday, Sailaja Nath called on the PCC Chief, to discuss this matter. From the other side, the ministers in the state cabinet, Anam Ram Nayaryana Reddy, Raghu Veera Reddy, Pitani Satyanarayana met the Chief Minister on Sunday and held discussions on the subject matter.
The T-ministers are planning their strategies to discuss the matter as early as possible in the assembly as the general elections are imminent. They are planning to meet the state governor, ESL Narasimhan to increase the pressure on the assembly to go for an immediate discussion on the T-bill. The deputy chief minister, Damodara Raja Narasimha and the former PCC Chief, D. Sreenivasa Rao are moving keenly on this matter.
The YSRCP has been demanding for the unanimous resolution of the state assembly for the Samikyanadhra. While leaders of both the regions have been moving ahead with their own strategies, the Chief Minister didn't attend the assembly on Monday as he has been suffering from high fever.
Few leaders may demand for the translated copies of the bill passed by the president as they are published in English. But the Telangana leaders have been reminding such demanders of the process of official proceedings of state assembly which take place in English and are demanding for the the discussions without considering any such lame excuses.
According to the sources, it is likely that the assembly session will continue to discuss the subject bill from Dec, 26, after the adjournment on Dec, 18.
